difference between cop and organisation

organisation is structured way of doing things which has got parameters like rules and regulations where as community of practice is an unstructured one which doesnot have limitations

community of practice

community of practice is defined as group of people who share their ideas for something they do and to make it better they interact on a regular basis.this is a social activity to deliver better services to the society.

what is organisation

Organization

In my perspective an oraganisation is when two or more individuals or firms get together and decides to co-ordinate their activities in a planned and systematic means and controllable environment forms an organisation.

According to Kenneth C.Loudan and Jane P.Loudan states that "Oraganization is stable, formal social structure that takes resources from environment and process them to produce outputs".

it can also be explained this way it is the process of systamaetic and distrubution of functions and responsibilities among various levels of interrelated management heirarcy (managerial, supervisory and specialist) in the organisation to attain goal of the organisation

what is Organization:-
organisation is the group of individual departments working together to achieve organisational goals and objectives.where the organisation is divided into different departments like human resource, marketing, finance. these functional departments supports each other by interpreting neccessary information to produce or deliver better goods and services.

For Example, I worked for media firm (Infomedia india ltd) where we have different departments like marketing, human resource, finance.different people from different department work for organisational goals .we all co-ordinate together to achieve oraganisational objectives.as a sales manager i will assign duties and responsibilities to my sub-ordinates to achieve the targets given by top-management of the organisation.to achieve better results in sales i will seek help from my human resource manager to train and motive the existing executives and helps in recruiting efficient people to my organisation and my finance manager helps in allocating neccessary funds to my departments to make the operations effective.as a whole we arrange meetings every month to make the existing process effective and effecient.

Types of organisation are sole trader, partnership, private limited company(ltd),public limited company,non-profit making oragnisations.

In my view organisations can be differentiated depending upon the controlling bodies on the ownerships one is government and the second is private and the third one is charity

government held organisations inorder to provide basic eminities with in the reachable to all economical standard of the people
Ex:one of the example is indian oil corporation which provides oil at subsidied rates where as same oil sold by private firms at higher rates

And the second type is privately held oraganisations there main objective is profit generation.organisation could be in the hands of a single owner or group of individauls or group of firms .

And the type this ownership could be in the hands of government or private bodies or both.these are nonprofit oriented their aim to service

familiar examples are redcross society,Unicef,Uno

There are different types of organisational structures prescribed by management experts
some of them are:
The functional organisation structure:
the main purpose of this structure is to help its internal and external customers.this structure is very easy to manage and but is too difficult to find quickly.
Ex:this is helpful to maintain the internal dertments

The geographical organisation structure:
this structure is used to distrubuted in different places
Ex: this structure is used to setup new branches for the organisation

Hybrid organisational structure :
Two different companies combines into one to offer better goods and services and to create branding and becomes hybrid organisations

The matrix organisational structure:
This stucture is very much helpful in developing and maintaining thesub-divisions in a single department i.e, repeating the same process in a single department and having several different bosses with several projects.

But a traditional organisation structure has two levels one is
Level 1-managers:
(i)top or higher management
(ii)middle managers
(iii)low level management

level 2
employees

Organizational learning:
organizational learning is a wide spread and burning topic these days and its the basis for strategic performance this accepted by researchers like(chandler,1962;duncan,1974;jelink,1979;miles and snow,1978;miller&freisen,1980;shrivastava,1981) organizational learning is all about restructuring the problems of the organization and individuals of the organization and which leads to strategic performance .mainly it learning consists of development of insights on the one hand and structural and outcomes on the other hand where organizational performance is a longterm survival and growth it is tool to remain in competitive and innovative in the market. so i feel organization learning is very important to every organization.

Ex;organizational learning is considered as key factor in my organization.that is arranging meetings and helping them in giving competitors strategies and conducting training sessions on the existing operation process and upcoming processes and also motivating them by personality development classes to employees who are facing wit personal or work related problems.
